Key Responsibilities:

• Run and interpret multi-physics simulations including fluid flow, electrochemical reaction, thermal distribution, gas diffusion, and compression.
• Build models to optimize:

1. Flow field geometry and channel velocity profiles
2. Stack temperature distribution
3. Gas crossover and pressure drops
4. Compression stress and seal integrity

• Translate simulation outputs into actionable design feedback for hardware teams.
• Develop customized simulation workflows for repeatable analysis and comparative studies.
• Collaborate with test teams to validate models and calibrate simulations against real-world stack data.

Experience & Skills:

• Strong experience with tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS Fluent, CFD++, Abaqus, or OpenFOAM.
• Ability to model:

1. Gas-liquid two-phase flow
2. Electrochemical kinetics and ion transport
3. Heat generation and dissipation
4. Structural deformation of elastomeric and rigid components

• Comfort working with parametric studies and optimization scripts (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or in-tool scripting).
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools for importing/exporting geometry (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo).
• Experience simulating real-world engineering problems and validating against test data.
• Previous work in fuel cell, battery, electrolyzer, drone, or EV simulation preferred.

• Exposure to DOE (Design of Experiments) methodologies and surrogate modeling.
• Experience in AI/ML integration for design optimization.
• Knowledge of materials modeling for polymers, ionomers, or composites.
